Generate hashes locally with audited primitives. True NIST SHA-3 is used, and the tool clearly explains which algorithms are unsuitable for passwords.

Nothing is uploaded. Hashing happens in this tab.
Algorithms
SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-384, and SHA-512 use the browser's Web Crypto API.
Formatting Base64 output is case-sensitive.

Choose at least one algorithm, then generate hashes to see results here.

Checksums, not passwords. MD5 and SHA-1 are legacy algorithms with known collision weaknesses. They are shown for compatibility and file checksums only. For password storage, use a dedicated password hash such as Argon2id or scrypt with a unique salt.

Identical input always produces the same digest. A small change produces a completely different result. File hashing reads the selected file locally and never uploads it.

About Hash Generator

Hash text with MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-512, SHA-3, and RIPEMD-160 using bundled implementations.

This tool runs locally in your browser. It does not upload your input, require an account, or store your data on a server. If a feature needs a network request, the interface asks before sending anything.
